free cone day!

Posted on

having spent most of the week so far at home studying, it was a joy to be able to hit the westside town a.k.a. VIVOCITY for ben and jerry’s free cone day event šŸ˜€

we started queuing for ice-cream at about 3pm, and finally got our delicious ice-cream cone 20 minutes later. so worth the wait (:

it’s been awhile since i had Phish Food, or any b&js ice-cream for that matter. right now, my money is spent on clothes and starbucks.

jeremy tried their newest flavour, Clusterfluff. i had a nibble of it, and woah if you really like peanut butter, you will LOVE this! there are bits of crunchy wafers and small pockets of peanut butter just waiting for you to sink your teeth into (yes ice-cream is made for omnoming not licking)!

at the end of the cone, we lost our voices. tried to speak as little as possible for the rest of the day, or if not, having to repeat oneself with a ducky voice (or no voice at all).

still, worth it for the free ice-cream šŸ˜›

in other news, i bought this amazing clothes shaver from Daiso that i’ve been trying to look for since my dad’s ancient one broke down 8 years ago! it’s so addictive to dig out clothing after clothing to shave off all the annoying cotton fluff balls that accumulate at the areas where it experiences the most friction. my back is now hurting from bending over and meticulously removing every single fluff.

won’t say it’s 100% effective though. but well, it costs $2 so you hardly should complain.

also found those Muji stackable trays, the ones that they try to rip you off for $5 per tray. instead, i bought them in Daiso for just $2. Muji you bloody suckers.

and last but not least, my clear umbrella!!!

umbrella will always match my outfit no matter what šŸ˜›

always had a fascination for them and when cassy turned up to school one day with one of these, i immediately demanded to know gracefully inquired where she got it and imagine my joy when i realized it has actually been selling in Daiso all this while!!!

p.s. i read that the clear umbrella in Gossip Girl is some “Bubble Umbrella” from Totes that sells for $15 USD. SUCKERS HAHA I GOT MINE FOR $2

moral of the story, if you have the time time, Daiso is really a place to find lots of interesting and functional stuff for just $2!
