had a chill sunday at melinda’s house playing Bang, Saboteur and eating Pepperoni’s 21 inch pizza
it’s really convenient to order because all she had to do was call up the place, place an order, and we can walk over 15 minutes later to collect it. will definitely wanna come to the binjai park branch instead of the super ulu greenwood one.
ok fine, not ulu for rich kids who drive their parents’ (or their own..) cars around, but ulu for people like me who have to rely on public transport to get to places.
ok well her real name is Satine, but she looks like a twilight werewolf, so we call her Jacobress.
gosh i’m such a twilight geek.
later on we travelled to tiong bahru, where we met jeremy and followed him to a place 15 minutes walk away from the MRT, called 40hands coffee
Blk 78 Yong Siak St #01-12, Tiong Bahru Estate, Singapore 163078
seriously can anyone tell me HOW DO YOU MAKE LATTE MILK PATTERNS LIKE THAT??
honestly, it’s abit pricey for a quaint cafe to be charging so much for coffee. but apparently they use fair trade coffee and that’s probably the reason why you’ll have to pay abit more for something you may or may not believe in, but know it’s for a good cause. hahaha that’s how i see it at least.
and well, the coffee is good la! i daresay my mocha latte is almost as good as that in Starbucks!
i don’t exactly like the parts that taste like nuts or raisins, but the part that had melted chocolate chip was good!! still reckon the scones at Tea Party (6th ave centre) are tastier though.
if you’re heading to 40hands, do remember to check our their opening hours. it’s abit irregular and they’re not opened the same time every day so don’t waste your time going there and finding it closed if you go at the wrong time/day.
here’s what it says on their fb page:
WE ARE OPEN:
Tuesdays: 8:30am to 6:30pm
Wednesdays and Thursdays: 8:30am to 10pm
Fridays and Saturdays: 8:30am to 11pm
Sundays 8:30am to 6:30pm
just opposite the row of shops where 40 hands is located, is this place called Books Actually:
scared the shit out of me when i realized that there were two cats sitting nicely on various parts of the shops, looking like fake things you normally have in a shop front display. there was even a fake bunny (confirm fake cos it was standing like a human..) nearby so i really didn’t suspect the cat to be real until it started moving.
impressive how those two cats are just trained to just hang around and blend in with the rest of the props, and they won’t shit or pee on the books. one even began to walk along the row of books like it was a catwalk.
