Tom: I love her smile. I love her hair. I love her knees. I love how she licks her lips before she talks. I love her heart-shaped birthmark on her neck. I love it when she sleeps.
i just watched (500) days of summer and i absolutely loved it. and in my opinion, this has got to be the best movie of 2009, although there was avatar and i’m seriously going to kick the next person who asks me whether i’ve watched avatar BECAUSE I HAVEN’T, OKAY?
so back to what i was saying, (500) is kind of like a twisty movie that doesn’t deliver a happy cliche ending of forever and always, but i think that’s what makes it all the more real.
sure, the emo parts are real sad and the girl is a sly, manipulative bitch, but all the events leading to the peak of their happiness were all very aww-inducing. kind of helps trigger certain memories that you’d pick out to be significant moments in getting to know a person. like….the ikea scene, which was my favourite by the way because it was so funny. although in the local context, i think you’d definitely get chased out of the store for making out on beds. however though, in the local context, ikea likes to blast its air-con like free (so much for being environment-friendly with the 5 cents plastic bags), so my hands always transform into cold vampire-like flesh. and it’s the best feeling in the world when someone takes one and warms it up for you.
yea and i also liked (500) because joseph gordon-levitt is awesome. he is so unconventional-looking though! he has double eyebags, minimal biceps, un-broad shoulders and an upturned mouth, but he still manages to be cute i don’t know why. oh yea, plus he sings well.
k enough about the movie. i actually convinced myself to go running around the estate today! you wouldn’t believe the number of failed attempts to psycho myself to leave the house and work up the adrenaline before today. but well, i was suddenly very inspired last night. after finding solutions to each and every insecurity (would people stare – don’t be stupid, you’ll be too fast to notice them staring HA) or worry (would i die from running while still coughing – well apparently not!) there ever was to prevent me from doing it, i went down and ran 4 rounds which felt like 21 km but in reality was probably only a tenth of the distance.
very unfit still. for some strange reason i have a migraine now and i’ve been sneezing alot more ever since the run because of, what feels like, excessive vasodilation. but i resolve to keep up the effort. Cleo magazine claims that people who exercise to feel energized tend to lose more weight than people who exercise to look good.
so yes, i am totally not exercising to lose 2kg.
