i’d never thought i’d say this, but SJI was a massive success. in this case, im defining success by the conditions that:
1. more than 10 people came
2. the people who came brought food
3. people didnt leave before the party started
4. people got dunked into the pool
5. nobody cried after getting dunked in the pool
ah i should go on to add that i brought and lost my frisbee, so did melinda with her special soccer ball. thanks to kenny and renard, who are totally lousy at throwing things around. they weren’t the only ones. the j1s who played with the frisbee kept getting it caught in the roof. and melinda’s ball got stuck in the pool a couple of times. but at least they were nice enough to get it back down for us. renard simply threw my frisbee over the pool deck ledge into the trees down below. i sure hope hes stuck on the branches while trying to get it down.
oh but i must credit kenny (who kicked melinda’s ball over the ledge too) for his cooking skillz- finally something that he can tell people that he’s good at, instead of trying to find excuses for ponning hardcore hockey training.
and i suppose his awesome cooking skillz earned him the girls’ attention subsequently. all the girls from the junior class could only remember kenny’s sexy name during whacko. unfortunately, kenny doesnt have a good memory, so it ended up with him being whacked at least 5 times and the first to be dunked into the pool.
melinda and i did a good job of helping to eat all the food before they got cold. shit, im really going to have to run extra hard at mass pe plus cross country this week.
once, my poor frisbee was tossed into the middle of the pool, and since nobody wanted to get wet just yet, i had to sit in a little blown-up boat and row like an idiot to the middle of the pool (with much much difficulty) to rescue my frisbee. its funny why they dont teach us skillz like these at swim pe. anw while everyone was having a hell of a time laughing at my noob paddling, i was struggling to stay on board while steering in the correct direction.
to end it off, im really quite glad it worked out fantastically, considering we only planned it in a week. k la here are the rest of the random pictures.
yea he is really something. when cassy tried to push him into the pool, he struggled away to maintain his balance. and then he turned around grabbed cassy and carried her up damsel-in-distress style and threw her into the pool.
hahaha cassy gave in without a struggle, helpless in his strong manly arms. lol!
when everyone left, we did abit of roles reversal.
joel really loves his new metro look
